Housekeeping Manager

This is a great opportunity for a professional and motivated individual to step up and take daily charge. We are seeking a hands-on, enthusiastic and energetic leader to deliver timely cleaning, staff training, thorough inspections and consistently high standards.About the RoleYou will be responsible for the day to day operation of the Housekeeping Department, delivering timely cleaning, thorough inspections and consistently high standards. In addition, you will be responsible for:RecruitmentMaintaining high standard of suites and public areasLeadership of the Housekeeping TeamManagement of an on-site laundry operationHealth & safety (including chemical registers)Departmental financial controls (forecasting, budget preparation, labour and supplies)About youThe ideal candidate must be self-motivated and able to use their initiative. Financial acumen, reporting, computer skills, rostering and ability to place orders based on inventory needs are essential.Candidates should have previous Housekeeping Management experience at a luxury hotel or lodge, a proven record of training and developing strong housekeeping teams and evidence of an uncompromising attention to detail. In addition, you will have:A passion for service delivery and the Hospitality IndustryA minimum of 3 years relevant experience (senior Housekeeping / Hospitality)Relevant tertiary level qualificationsAbility to train and grow a team of mixed skill levelsKnowledge and experience with Hospitality Management systemsStrong and effective communication skillsAbility to work accurately in a fast paced and dynamic environmentExceptional organisational skillsA winning personality, with the ability to surprise and delight!In this role, you will work alongside a world class team, in the most spectacular environment.What we offerWe offer competitive wages, delicious staff lunches and access to our Staff Perks Programme with a wide range of discounts and deals with our suppliers and partners.
