Position Overview Students are at the heart of everything we do.
We are on the lookout for two positive and energetic Housekeepers/Cleaners to join our dedicated Accommodation Services team at Massey University's Manawatu Halls.
These permanent, full-time roles are exciting opportunities to make a meaningful contribution to building vibrant residential communities on campus.
The salary range for these positions is $46,836 to $50,615 per annum, plus a range of Massey staff benefits.
About the Role
As a Housekeeper/Cleaner, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service to our resident communities.
Your responsibilities will include:
Cleaning and maintaining our facilities to a high standard.Conducting regular checks to ensure the safety and comfort of our residents.Engaging with residents and contributing to a welcoming, supportive environment.
Located on the Palmerston North campus, this is a hands-on role where you will collaborate with a fun, hardworking team to create a home away from home for our students.

To succeed in this role, you will demonstrate:
Experience in a residential or hotel setting, ideally in university accommodation or supporting young people.Problem-solving skills with a focus on identifying and implementing improvements.Strong organisational abilities to handle competing priorities and multiple ongoing tasks.A team-oriented mindset with a genuine care for the success of those around you.Customer service expertise with a commitment to responding promptly to housekeeping requests.This is a varied and fast-paced role that requires adaptability, strong teamwork skills, and the ability to work within Massey University's systems, policies, and procedures.
Employment Setting The employment setting will involve work with people across the lifespan.
Applicants will be required to comply with the requirements of the Vulnerable Children Act 2014 and the Vulnerable Children (Requirements for Safety Checks of Children's Workers) Regulations 2015.
