Mo te turanga - About the role:

Working in a close-knit team, you will have excellent access to your Registrar and Consultant, and unrivalled opportunities to experience many of the varied presentations to the hospital

You will be exposed to a number of medical situations that will equip you well for future training Registrar roles

Working in a hospital small enough to give you hands-on specialist-led experience, yet big enough to learn through an internationally renowned research partnership, your career opportunities are limitless

Working in a variety of runs across specialties such as General Medicine, General Surgery, Orthopaedics, ED, Psychiatry, Paediatrics and OandG, House Officers have excellent opportunities to flourish while being able to visit the many wonderful places living in the South has to offer. Mou ake - About you

Our ideal candidate will have:

registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand or be eligible for general or provisional general registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand. You can check your eligibility for registration by visiting the Council's website at www.mcnz.org.nz

a minimum of one year post qualification experience.

It is requirement of the Medical Council of New Zealand that your qualifications are approved through EPIC. If you have a commitment to working in New Zealand, it is highly recommended that you start this process as soon as possible to allow your subsequent registration to be undertaken in a timely fashion. Utu whanui - Salary range

This role is covered by the terms and conditions of New Zealand Resident Doctors' Association and 20 DHB Multi Employer Collective 17 June 2024 - 31 July 2026 (NZRDA SECA) and Specialty Trainees of New Zealand and 20 District Health Boards Multi Employer Collective Agreement 14 February 2024 - 28 February 2026 (the STONZ SECA) and the salary will fall between $76,000 - $159,620 dependant on relevant experience.
