Working in a close-knit team, you will have excellent access to your Registrar & Consultant, and unrivalled opportunities to experience many of the varied presentations to the hospital.
You will be exposed to a number of medical situations that will equip you well for future training Registrar roles.
You will have continued support in your professional development through 24/7 access to the library, weekly teaching and Grand Rounds, journal clubs, and regular RMO forums.
Following that and depending on your interest, we have a number of runs available for you to work in.
These include: General Surgery Orthopaedics AT&R Relievers If your interest lies in the specialties that are 6 months in length, please indicate your preferences in your cover letter.

Our ideal candidate will have: Registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand or be eligible for general or provisional general registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand.

Utu whanui |Salary range This role is covered by the terms and conditions of New Zealand Resident Doctors' Association & 20 DHB Multi Employer Collective 17 May 2021 – 31 March 2024 (NZRDA SECA) and Specialty Trainees of New Zealand and 20 District Health Boards Multi Employer Collective Agreement 14 February 2024 – 28 February 2026 (the STONZ SECA) and the salary will fall between $71,493 - $159,620 dependant on relevant experience.
