Strong communication skills, the ability to achieve budgets and a commitment to delivering high-quality service are a must.The Role2024 is an important year for us – we will open Ranui Apartments and are upscaling our team to reflect this growth and ensure we continue to provide our unique style of compassionate hospitality.As House Manager, you will oversee the operations of our 26-apartment Ranui House and 43-apartment Ranui Apartments (opening November) in central Christchurch – we offer a home-away-from-home for patients and their families who are undergoing life-saving medical treatment. You will lead a team of seven, ensuring seamless service and creating a supportive environment for patients and their families.Your role will involve managing budgets and room forecasts, our reservations office, team recruitment, coaching, and management, as well as collaborating with hospital staff and coordinating with external partners.You will know your way around a reservations system, be tech-savvy, bring experience and innovation from a similar role, and act as the primary point of contact for families. You will work closely with our Volunteers and the Bone Marrow Cancer Trust team; most importantly you will be a strong and passionate ambassador for our mission.About UsFor over 30 years, the Bone Marrow Cancer Trust has managed Ranui House. Our mission is to provide a home away from home for families who travel to Christchurch for life-saving medical treatment. We serve patients and families of all treatment types and all ages from across the South Island and New Zealand. This November we will open our new House, Ranui Apartments.We know how important it is to keep patients and their families together during what is often an incredibly stressful time. Ranui House is located opposite Christchurch Hospital, while Ranui Apartments is a short walk alongside beautiful South Hagley Park. We provide families with an apartment that includes comfy beds, ample living spaces including a kitchen and laundry, just like you would have at home, along with an onsite car park and generous communal spaces. Our team is on hand to take care of the practical things, giving families the time and space to focus on their treatment.Our focus is to support the continued activity of the Bone Marrow Cancer Trust and the Bone Marrow Cancer Research Trust in its provision of excellent care for the families we serve through providing accommodation and support at our facilities and funding medical research.To learn more about us visit bmct.org.nz.Interested?
