Porters Boutique Hotel offers luxury accommodation in the village of Havelock North, Hawke's Bay. Porters Boutique Hotel has 42 stylish guest rooms and suites along with conference facilities that offers a range of flexibility and equipped with the latest technology catering for 8 people to 70 people. An experienced Hotel Receptionist is required to join our team.  You will be responsible for creating a professional first impression for the hotel. You will perform guest check in and check outs, maintain room accounts, take reservations, assist with guest enquiries and ensure accurate documentation and cashiering. You will have an eye for detail and have a focus on providing exceptional customer service.   In addition to standard reception duties, you will have a hands on approach and can do attitude.   You will be required to hold a managers certificate so preference will be given to those who either already hold a certificate or have previously completed the required Licence Controller Qualification unit standards. The ideal candidate will possess: Excellent customer service skills and the ability to answer all guest's enquiriesStrong administration skillsExcellent time managementThe ability to work under pressureExceptional grooming and presentationWillingness to use initiative and solve problemsStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work as part of a team and give instruction to other departmentsKnowledge of Property Management Systems (ie Guest Centrix)Understanding of Hotel Front Office procedures and systems used in Hotel Management1-2 years' experience working in a 4 or 5 star Hotel in a Front Office roleThe position is permanent part-time averaging 24-30 hours per week dependent on seasonal fluctuations and is available for immediate start. It is also a hospitality role that will include working nights, weekends and public holidays.
