Hospitality Operations Manager Wooing Tree (Wine Jobs: Management & Administration)Full TimeHospitalityHQCromwell, OtagoThe Wooing Tree vineyard ( located in the heart of Central Otago is expanding and about to open a brand new and custom-built cellar door, wine bar, and restaurant located in the heart of Cromwell. 30 mins from Queenstown and Wanaka.I am looking for a Hospitality Operations Manager who will have full control over the business and report directly to the owners. This is an exciting role. Our cellar door and kitchen is expected to open by the end of August 2024.This role will have you looking after a large team of front of house, sales, and kitchen staff. You will be expected to lead from the front and work in a hands-on capacity with staff. You will need to be warm, engaging, and have high emotional intelligence to communicate effectively with your team and various stakeholders.The role will have marketing and admin support. You will have full control over the financials of the business. Experience with P&Ls and setting budgets is required. Part of the role will involve sales and marketing, and you will need to have experience in driving your sales team. Experience with events is also required as an avenue to build and diversify the business.You will need to juggle multiple responsibilities and have your finger on the pulse in this role. This is a family-owned business with a very high-quality product and a well-established wine brand behind it. As such, you will need to share these values of working in a family environment. Being friendly, warm, passionate, as well as fair and impartial are essential qualities. You will be assessed on these attributes during the recruitment process.You should have a hospitality background in a similar role. Perhaps you have experience as a restaurant manager or maitre'd with a background in the beverage industry, or you have experience as a head chef along with sales and marketing experience.
