Description New Plymouth Sportfishing and Underwater Club are on the hunt for an energetic, motivated and creative Hospitality & Events Manager to join our team!
We are looking for someone with excellent organisational and communication skills alongside an ability to connect with people from a variety of backgrounds. The role includes overseeing the day-to-day running of our clubrooms kitchen and bar, as well as planning, managing, and liaising for any functions booked, and helping plan and execute club events.
Applicants must have:
Experience in event management and hospitality, including the scoping, planning, and delivery of successful events.
Proven time-management and organisational skills, with the ability to work to deadlines.
Ability to communicate clearly and succinctly to a wide range of people.
A high level of energy, drive, initiative, and self-motivation.
The ability to be a true team player who is happy to roll up their sleeves and muck in.
Due to the nature of this role, the successful candidate will need to be able to work flexible hours to meet event requirements, including some evenings and weekends, particularly during busy periods.
