We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to coordinate the efficient and effective operation of McIntyre's hospitality and catering services.
The McIntyre Centre in Bishop Auckland is an exciting new development for the Bishop Auckland College Group.
Located in the town centre, the iconic Grade II listed building has been at the heart of the community for more than 150 years.
Having undergone a beautiful renovation, the McIntyre Centre will be the home to a new restaurant with training kitchen, exhibition and retail space, training facilities including two digital suites, job matching service and workspaces for emerging businesses.
The McIntyre Centre will be a central hub supporting young people and adults to develop skills for jobs that are emerging as fantastic new ventures and visitor attractions open in the local area.
About the role: You will be part of an exciting new team creating a vibrant hospitality and catering training venue in the heart of the town centre, supporting young people and adults to move into employment in the hospitality and catering sector.
You will oversee the day-to-day running of the restaurant and retail area, promoting a professional and welcoming atmosphere for every guest.
Candidate Requirements: The candidate we are looking for is a dedicated professional with meticulous attention to detail, who can create a positive welcoming environment for customers.
They will have successfully managed front of house and have a passion for training others to achieve their high standards.
The successful candidate will possess a Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject area, Level 2 Food Safety certificate (to be achieved within 6 weeks) and First Aid qualification (or willing to work towards within 6 weeks).
It is desirable that the candidate will also possess an IT qualification and Level 2 Equality & Diversity.
Applicants will have proven experience of coordinating hospitality services and experience of delivering high-quality customer service to guests.
This role will include responsibilities within safeguarding and the postholder will be engaging in regulated activity.
