As we expand into new areas, we're excited to welcome a passionate Horticulturist to our team.
About The RoleReporting to our Operations Manager in Tauranga, you'll be responsible for maintaining the grounds of a high-profile retirement village. Your tasks will range from planting, weeding, and pruning to blowing, spraying, weed eating, and general vegetation control. You'll ensure that all maintenance is carried out to the highest standard, with safety and care for residents and staff always a priority.
Key responsibilities include:
Creating and maintaining gardens to meet client specifications, including sourcing plants and materials, following garden plans, and planting according to best practices.Managing the day-to-day operations of designated sites within the contract.Communicating regularly with the Operations Manager and/or client, promptly addressing and reporting any garden or planting issues.Prioritising safety, compliance, and quality in all garden-related activities.About YouOur ideal candidate will have a Level 4 National Certificate in Horticulture, a GrowSafe certification, and at least 3 years of experience in a similar role. Other experience and skills we seek include:
A full driver's licence with the ability to drive a manual.Extensive knowledge of plant species and their maintenance requirements.Ability to accurately follow and implement gardening plans.Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate with residents if required.A proactive attitude with a dedication to delivering top-quality results in every task.What We OfferAt Green by Nature, you'll have the opportunity to work alongside professionals, expand your knowledge, and develop your career in horticulture.
