Located at the stunning Whangateau Holiday Park, Auckland Council's Parks & Community Service department has an opportunity for an enthusiastic and customer-focused person to join our team in a permanent part-time Holiday Park Assistant role, working 30 hours a week.
We are seeking a hands-on, versatile, friendly person who is used to a busy work environment and who can assist with the day-to-day operation of the Holiday Park.
You'll be working closely with an amazing collaborative team to ensure our guests have a positive and memorable experience with us.
Day-to-day you could expect to work on: Processing online and in-person bookingsYou will be working up to 30 hours per week, rostered over 5 days which will include 1x weekend, morning shifts, and late nights. The Park is open 7 days a week including public and school holidays.
We are especially busy throughout the summer months, so having the ability to work flexible hours, weekends, public holidays, and additional shifts is required. The role also assists in support across the portfolio of our other holiday parks as and when required.
You will be confident with administration and reception duties and have experience with cash-handling as well as an ability to use your initiative to resolve both operational and maintenance issues as they arise.
We will be looking for people who have: Excellent communication & problem-solving skillsFlexibility to work rosters (including public holidays)Enthusiastic and approachable demeanour with a customer-focused approachWhangateau Holiday Park is a busy Qualmark 4 Plus Star rated and one of Auckland Region's stunning holiday destinations with a range of offerings from camping, RV/campervan powered sites, to units, cabins, and facilities.
The park is located in Whangateau, approximately 1 hour's drive north of central Auckland, set on Whangateau Harbour, offering safe swimming, beautiful views, and close proximity to Leigh and Matakana.
This role will see you working in a unique coastal setting where you will support the team in providing a memorable experience for all our guests.

Our employer Kiwisaver contribution is additional to base salary offered. This position is deemed a safety-sensitive position and will require pre-employment drug and alcohol testing.
