We seek a motivated, skilled and enthusiastic specialised teacher to lead our art and visual design department.
This is a full-time permanent role commencing on Monday, January 27, 2025, at the start of the 2025 academic year.
We are a high-performing department that strongly focuses on teamwork and is dedicated to personalised and relational teaching. Our teaching areas cover painting, design, photography, film, sculpture, and printmaking.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead within a successful, well-resourced, growing school area. You and your team will deliver highly engaging programmes that reflect the national curriculum while expanding and embracing the creativity of our greatly diverse community.
A successful candidate will show a commitment to:
Collaborative teaching and learning within the visual arts department
Building strong relationships with Akonga and Whanau
Afterschool workshops for the arts, EOTC opportunities and other extracurricular activities within the arts
Honouring obligations under Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
The terms and conditions, including base salary, for this position, are set by the relevant collective agreement and depend on the applicant's qualifications and experience. Once a role is confirmed, a salary assessment will establish the individual's actual base salary.
