Great Potentials Foundation is a charitable trust that helps tamariki, rangatahi, and parents to unleash their potential. Two generations benefit through the HIPPY Programme's contribution to both early childhood education and parenting support resulting in:Improving skills, confidence, and educational outcomes of childrenIncreasing parents' participation in their children's education and wider communitiesIncreasing participation in Early Childhood Education (ECE)We are looking for a part-time (24-30 hrs per week) HIPPY Programme Coordinator in Kaikoura to deliver a Ministry of Education funded contract. As the HIPPY Coordinator reporting to the Regional Manager, you will assist in delivering a quality programme in your community, and you will have primary responsibility for all aspects of local programme implementation.The role will be based from home with an expectation of the successful candidate working across the Kaikoura area supporting whanau. Although the role is based from home, there will be a need to have a daily physical presence within the Kaikoura area as recruitment and programme delivery is predominantly face-to-face.Key responsibilities:Deliver the HIPPY Programme in accordance with the Whanau In-Home Learning Agreement and the HIPPY Delivery ManualEngage and enrol families in the HIPPY Programme and facilitate transition to ECE or schoolRecruit, train, and support tutorsSkills and experience:A relevant tertiary qualification (e.g., Teaching, Social Work, or related field)Experience working with families with young childrenExperience with adult learners or coachingStrong connections and understanding of the communitySound leadership qualitiesGood verbal and written skillsFamiliarity with MS Office SuiteA current full driver's licence and regular access to a vehicleA suitable space to work from homeA satisfactory Children's Act check.What we offer:Supportive team environmentPaid leave on your birthday (after first year's service)More information about Great Potentials Foundation and the HIPPY programme is available on our website: www.greatpotentials.org.nzHow to applyFor an application form and information pack please contact:
