Mechanical FitterTeamJobs is looking for an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our exclusive client in Christchurch. The successful candidate will repair, overhaul, and modify various mechanical, pneumatic, heat transfer, electronic, air turbines, and electromechanical aircraft components according to federal and European regulations. This includes all aspects of the repair process including diagnostic fault finding, strip, initial inspection, parts call up, build, and testing of the final units. These processes must be compliant with Component Maintenance Manuals, Engineering drawing requirements, and customer requirements.Work Pattern: Monday to Friday: 6:30 AM - 3:00 PMPay rate: £16.21 p/h (apprenticeship served), £15.91 p/h (without apprenticeship)Key Responsibilities:Interpret component maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and other regulator-approved technical data for repairs and overhauls.Perform preliminary inspections including diagnostic tests, disassembly, cleaning, and component inspection.Determine the material needed for overhaul or repair.Repair, overhaul, and assemble units according to approved technical data.Perform final tests of the units to meet customer deadlines.Prioritize and process units in order to meet customer due dates.Process units in accordance with the Quality Management System, Repair Station Manual, and MOE.Experience Required:Previous experience in mechanical assembly and repair.Computer literacy.The Right Person:A flexible approach to work is required.The ability to function as part of a team within a lean manufacturing environment.Customer focus.Good attitude and enthusiasm.Education Required:A recognized Engineering Apprenticeship is desirable but not essential.Mandatory Requirements: Full BPSS Screening (*Baseline Personnel Security Standard), including proof of Legal Right to Work, Criminal Records Check (i.e., UK DBS), and Drugs Screening. #J-18808-Ljbffr
