Heritage Preservation and Field Support Solutions
At Heritage Preservation and Field Support Solutions (artefactpreservation.com), we're all about preserving the past and supporting those who care for it. From delicate artworks to historical objects that tell unique stories, our work ensures these treasures endure for generations.
We partner with communities, museums, government bodies, and individuals across Aotearoa New Zealand and beyond, preserving cultural and historical artefacts while building meaningful relationships with those we serve. Based in beautiful Taranaki, we work on-site and in the field, offering everything from conservation assessments to hands-on treatments.
But we're more than just an art conservation studio. Through our field support services, we also help manage heritage-related projects, offering logistical expertise and practical solutions to make even the most complex projects run smoothly. Our work reflects our commitment to excellence, professionalism, and the values of Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and we believe that every object has a story worth saving.
If you share our passion for heritage conservation and enjoy solving challenges with creativity and precision, we'd love for you to join our team!
We're on the lookout for an organized and creative multitasker to join us as our Heritage Projects Coordinator . You'll play a key role in delivering exciting conservation projects, supporting our team of technicians and conservators, and building relationships with clients, vendors, and the community.
No two days will be the same—one day you'll be liaising with vendors to source supplies, the next you'll be organizing team meetings, managing timelines, or diving into spreadsheets to track project budgets. If you thrive in a flexible, dynamic environment and enjoy solving problems on the fly, this role is for you!
(As this is a new position for the company, we are flexible to the amount of hours worked to suit individual needs; however, we estimate 25 hours per week minimum.)
What We're Looking For: A thriving team player who is positive, proactive, and solutions-focused.
Someone who takes initiative and thinks outside the box.
Strong communication and time management skills (because juggling multiple projects is no small feat!).
Tertiary qualification and proven experience coordinating teams or projects.
Tech-savvy with knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and project management tools.
Driver's license and the ability to lift 20kg (occasionally—our treasures can be heavy!).
A keen interest in heritage, conservation, and working within Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles is a big plus!
