Herd Manager

Job Description: Assistant Herd Manager required for a farm in Hawkes Bay.We are looking for a Herd Manager.The applicant will need to undertake farm duties confidently. Those duties include, but are not restricted to planning, organizing, controlling, and executing farm operations to breed and raise dairy cattle for milk, meat, and breeding stock. Perform Herd Manager duties and other responsibilities as required.Employment Type: Permanent Full-timeDays Required: Mondays to Fridays and may include night shifts and weekends depending on the job orders.Hours: Minimum guaranteed hours of 60-90 hours per fortnight.Hourly Rate or Salary Band: $29.66 per hour.Minimum Qualifications: Either 3 years of relevant work experience OR at least level 4 relevant qualification OR any Bachelor's Degree of any course will be considered.Training will be provided for the qualified applicant.Needs to have good communication skills, be health and safety conscious, physically fit, and drug-free. Must be hard-working, honest, reliable in work attendance, and possess excellent time management skills.
