The Regions Immigration Law & Recruitment – Gisborne, North IslandCandidates must meet one of the following criteria:Candidate must have at least 1 year of relevant experience; ORA Bachelor's degree in Agriculture industry can substitute for work experienceApplicants must have the following as per employer's requirement:Must be physically fitMust pass pre-employment drug testMust provide a CV and verifiable references of previous employment historyMust have right to work in NZ/be NZ resident/CitizenFeed Production ManagementAssist Farm Manager to organize and control feed planning or management as appropriateOversee the management of weeds & pests implementation to maintain pasture & cropsEnsure fertilizer implementation and irrigation requirements are maintained by staffEnsure that all staff carry out the effective operation of all aspects of the milking process, including plant hygiene & somatic cell count, to maintain grade free standardsEffluentOperate & maintain the effluent system on farm to meet all regional council compliance requirements & the employer's standardsAnimalsImplement animal health program to maintain good healthOrganize and control animal calving and calf rearing program to achieve minimal loss & ensure high quality replacements are available for the herdOrganize sale and purchase of stock to achieve stock targetsEnsure all herd records are maintained & transferred to the appropriate placeTrain and supervise staffBusinessWork with the Farm Manager to contribute to the Farm Business PlanAssist to manage repairs & maintenance schedule for all plant, machinery, infrastructureEnsure relevant company policies are understood & adhered toHealth & SafetyComply with health & safety requirements, adhere to policies & proceduresMeet the above requirement by wearing all personal protective equipmentNotify Farm Manager of new hazards identified and of any accident or near miss accident & complete Accident ReportAssist to work within best practice environmental guidelinesHelp with major projects as required by the Farm ManagerPlease provide us with information regarding your eligibility to work in New Zealand – if you are on a temporary visa or if you are a New Zealand citizen/resident.
