Our client is the market leader in new & used materials handling, construction & environmental equipment and has 18 branches throughout New Zealand.
The Dunedin branch is seeking an experienced heavy diesel mechanic to work on Construction Equipment.
You must be a qualified diesel mechanic and have experience working on hydraulics.
As a service technician, you will be servicing heavy construction equipment in and around Dunedin, either onsite at a client's premise or in the branch's workshop.
You must be familiar with current engine, transmission, and hydraulic systems.
You will carry out planned and unplanned maintenance, major overhaul and refurbishment work, repair new and used equipment, and warranty repairs to deliver high standards of workmanship and customer service in an efficient and safe manner.
You will be a highly organised go-getter and hold basic computer skills as there is an administration portion to this role.
Monday to Fri: 40-45 hours per week (Saturday work available/Flex Hours).
Must have the availability to be on-call when required.

Experience: Proven mechanical experience in some of the following areas: construction/heavy machinery.
Qualifications: Qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic 3-4 + years prior work experience Drivers licence: Minimum Class 1 Full Desirable Endorsements: Forklift, wheels, tracks, rollers Technical Skills: Literacy and numeracy (intermediate) Fluent English Good communication skills & customer service Diagnostic software Computer literacy If you like the sound of this opportunity and you or someone you know fit the above criteria, then apply today!
