You will be responsible for carrying out mechanical maintenance services on mobile plant which includes Straddle Carriers, Forklifts, Bulldozers, Front End Loaders, Cranes, and our fleet of smaller vehicles.
The role involves ensuring the equipment is maintained to the required standard, carrying out scheduled preventative maintenance and ensuring all maintenance activities are being completed in a cost-effective manner with a strong focus on health and safety.
About you
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:
Heavy Diesel Mechanic Trade Certification or equivalent (Ideally NZQA L4 Plant and Equipment) Current, Clean, Full Class 2 NZ Driver Licence and/or Class 4, 5 with WTR and F endorsement Proven background and experience in both heavy and light mechanical equipment Strong knowledge of diagnostic and troubleshooting repairs and maintenance Knowledge of or experience using preventative maintenance principles and ERPs would be highly regarded Experience with maintenance management software and/or ERP systems desirable Exposure to Quality Management systems and methodology Experience in a Preventative Maintenance work environment will be highly regarded About LPC We are Lyttelton Port Company (LPC), the largest Port in the South Island, committed to Leading the Way for our people and our region.
