The Opportunity:
We're looking for an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our Swanson crew on a permanent basis!
Working on a variety of heavy vehicle brands including Volvo, MAN, Scania, BCI, and Mitsubishi across our school buses and tour coaches.
This role involves a variety of proactive and active maintenance, including COF inspections and day-to-day maintenance and repairs on both diesel and petrol motors, as well as other fleet vehicles as appropriate.
We can discuss specific shift patterns with you; however, one weekend day will be required.
You'd be joining a multicultural and multi-skilled established team of 15 people, reporting to the Workshop Manager.
There is also the potential for you to be upskilled in EV!

Your Skills:
• NZQA L4 Heavy Automotive Qualification or equivalent automotive workshop experience
• Current New Zealand Drivers' License Class 1 (ideally up to C4)
• Reliable
• Mechanically minded
• Eye for detail
• Health and safety conscious
• Physically capable of lifting up to 25kgs
• Tech-savvy
• Enthusiastic attitude
