Heavy Diesel Machinery Mechanic

We are looking for a motivated and qualified Diesel Mechanic skilled in heavy plant and equipment. This role will add to our small workshop crew to support our operational team and direct/engage external contractors when required. You will bring a high level of technical skill and enjoy varied service, repair, hydraulics, and mechanical work on a range of heavy machinery.This is a permanent position operating in a port environment where occasional travel to other C3 ports may be required. Essential requirements for the position are: Mechanic Trade certificate (Polytec or MITO)Proven experience repairing and maintaining heavy machineryBeing a self-starter with initiativeKeen eye for detail with superior workmanshipFlexibility and reliabilityCommitment to Health & SafetyStrong time management skills and ability to work unsupervised is essential.Available to be on call during vessel loadings Additional qualifications that would be advantageous: Previous experience working on forklifts, wheel loaders, excavators, and heavy log handling equipment.If you enjoy responsibility and working as part of a team, then we would like to hear from you.
