Heavy Diesel Electrician / New Truck Preparation Tech We are a major player in the heavy trucking industry. Southpac is a distributor and retailer for Paccar Brands Kenworth, DAF, and TRP. Southpac has had major growth across the four pillars of the business: Sales, Parts, Service, and Support.
We are looking for an experienced Heavy Diesel Electrician with industry experience to join our New Truck Preparation team.
If you have a relevant level 4 qualification or no less than three years' experience repairing and maintaining heavy vehicles, this role is for you.
Reporting to the New Truck Prep Manager, you will be working on the preparation of new trucks that arrive in NZ, ensuring they are completed to a high standard for delivery!
Installation of custom lighting and electrical components.
Replace and upgrade electrical components ensuring they meet manufacturer specifications.
Comply with safety regulations and industry standards.
Maintain accurate records of all work provided.
Communicate effectively with the sales team to explain options.
Quality check completed electrical work to ensure the highest level of workmanship.
Stay up to date with advancements in automotive electrical systems and technologies through ongoing training and professional development.

Someone with the ability to manage and adapt in fast-paced and evolving environments, whilst maintaining effective communication, would thrive in this role. Given the nature of the role, attention to detail and accuracy is paramount.
