Description About Transport Repairs: We are the Cummins Engine Dealer for Marlborough, Otago and Southland, and a SouthPac Trucks Ltd Dealer, supporting the premier brands of DAF, Kenworth and TRP products. Our workshops are modern, equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and facilities, including the latest diagnostic tools. We support the road transport industry and are part of the Dynes Transport and HW Richardson Group.
The Job: Transport Repairs is offering Heavy Automotive – Road Transport (Diesel Mechanic) Apprenticeships across the South Island starting in January 2025. We are looking for keen, motivated individuals seeking a rewarding career in the heavy automotive industry. Diesel Mechanics, Auto Electricians, and Transport Engineers are in high demand worldwide, and completing an Apprenticeship sets you up for a successful career with great opportunities.

Is this you? To be eligible, we seek applicants with:
- New Zealand Citizenship or Permanent Residency
- NCEA Level 2 (or international equivalent)
- English and Maths
- NZ Drivers Licence
- Completion of an Automotive pre-employment course is highly valued but not essential
- Work experience with Transport Repairs or similar automotive/engineering workshop is highly valued but not essential
- Adult applicants with technical or trade experience are welcome
