You'll work on a large commercial construction project, taking responsibility for all aspects of Health & Safety to create and maintain a safe working environment for everyone on-site.This is a critical role where your expertise will ensure the safety of workers while keeping the project progressing efficiently and on schedule.We're looking for someone with a minimum of 3 years' experience on large-scale construction sites, who holds a minimum qualification of New Zealand Certificate in Workplace Health and Safety Practice (Level 4).
You'll also need to be willing to complete online site-specific training to ensure you're fully prepared for the unique challenges of this project.WHAT'S THE CATCH?Due to travel restrictions, ONLY New Zealand and US Citizens with New Zealand or US passports currently and permanently living and working in New Zealand can apply.You must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19.You're on the ice for a long time; these roles are not 'fly in fly out' / FIFO.You'll work long hours, six days out of seven.Start dates are approximate and are subject to you passing medical and dental checks, getting security clearance, your notice period, and ice flight availability.You must pass a pre-employment drug & alcohol test.You need a Full Class 1 NZ Driver Licence and a clean criminal record.The application process is lengthy; you will need to demonstrate patience when working through the application process.You must be prepared to travel to Tauranga for medical and dental exams.
