Healthy Waters is seeking a passionate Healthy Waters Specialist to join our team. You will deliver effective, timely, and practical solutions, all while maintaining top-notch health and safety standards and financial management practices.Building strong relationships with stakeholders and striving for outcomes that put customers at the centre of your work are key aspects of this role.Day-to-day you can expect to work on:Supporting delivery of regional programs related to improving water quality and flood resiliency in rural Auckland.Making health and safety a priority in every task, guided by our Health and Safety Policy Statement and Management Framework.Collaborating closely with various Council teams to enhance strategic and operational goals.Teaming up with other Healthy Waters units to solve problems and deliver solutions.Delivering projects that meet Council requirements, including being within budget, meeting timeframes, and obtaining quality results or assets that deliver the intended benefit.He korero mou: About youThis role requires experience in similar customer-serving roles, with a sound understanding of problem-solving and decision-making whilst displaying excellent interpersonal skills for building rapport with customers.We will be looking for specific experience with:A Bachelor's degree in water quality or a related field including primary industry or environmental science is preferable.Ideally 5+ years' experience in the primary industry sector.Experience in local government and the associated political environment.Conversant with all health and safety legislation, policies, and guidelines relevant to the construction industry.Experience in the use of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook would be beneficial.Nga ahuatanga kei a matou: What we offerAuckland Council is one of the largest local authorities in the South Pacific providing essential services and facilities to more than 1.6 million people.
