Healthcare Assistants Level 4

Location: Rangiora
To work effectively as a Healthcare Assistant under the guidance of a Registered Nurse to provide a high standard of quality care to patients.
This role involves working across clinics, wards, emergency departments, and operating rooms.
It encompasses supporting patients with comfort and concerns and ensuring the environment is ready to provide the best care.
Duties (include but not limited to):

Providing patient handling assistance as required; correct use of lifting equipment, assisting with walking frames and other equipment.
Maintaining patient hygiene, comfort, and care; assistance with patient sponging/showering/bathing, bed making, preparing the room for admission.
Completing delegated tasks promptly without constant supervision.
Ensuring Health and Safety compliance: using equipment safely, reporting incidents, accidents, and near misses promptly, and following required policies and procedures including infection control.
Restocking materials.
Completing cleaning duties as required.
Role requirements:

Level 4 NZ Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (or equivalent).
Exceptional people skills with empathy and compassion for all patients.
A reasonable level of fitness due to the nature of the role, able to perform required duties (including lifting).
Excellent level of spoken and written English and numeracy.
Reliable and honest with a positive attitude.
Willingness to undertake police clearance (submitted on your behalf).
Willingness to undergo a health screening.
