We are looking for Health Care Assistants (Care Partners) to join our exceptional team at Sarah Selwyn in Selwyn Village on a permanent basis. This is a great opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our Elders and help support them "The Selwyn Way". You will provide residents with the comforts and security of home by providing choice and helping with everything that goes on at home such as food provision, recreational activities/hobbies, and some housekeeping. As a Healthcare Assistant/Care Partner, you will be responsible for providing residents with safe care and daily support in accordance with individual care plans, ensuring their needs are met with patience, understanding, dignity, and respect. Your tasks will cover personal hygiene care, assisting at mealtimes, and cleaning duties.
We currently have the following shift patterns available: Vacancy 1: Monday to Thursday 1500-2130 and Sunday 0700-1330 = 30hrsVacancy 2: Wednesday 1500-2300, Thursday to Sunday 1500-2130 = 31.5hrsVacancy 3: Monday 1500-2300, Tuesday 1500-2130 and Friday to Sunday 1500-2130 = 31.5hrsVacancy 4: Saturday and Sunday 0700-1330 and Monday 1500-2300 = 19.5hrsMinimum Requirements: A minimum of 12 months NZ working experience ideally in aged careEligibility to work in NZ permanentlyStrong interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain relationshipsAn outgoing personality with a positive attitudeEmpathetic and caring natureStrong verbal and written communication skillsA team player with the ability to work collaboratively with othersLevel 3 or higher NZ Health and Wellbeing qualification is desirableAbout Sarah Selwyn:
