Health Shuttle Driver - Pukekohe and WaiukuDriving a St John Shuttle vehicle, you will be responsible for ensuring clients safely reach their appointments on time. This volunteer role is highly customer focused and whilst some clients may be physically able, others may need assistance. Therefore, in addition to having sensitivity toward those who are unwell, being physically fit is also important in this role.Health Shuttles operate in most parts of the city but we are specifically looking for drivers in the Pukekohe and Waiuku area.Requirements:No prior experience is required, however there are some essential requirements:Held a full and clean NZ Drivers Licence for at least 12 months (vehicle may be a manual)Have a clean police recordAbility to commit to one shift rostered per week or fortnightHave excellent communication and problem solving skillsFriendly, caring and compassionate, with a genuine interest in the well-being of othersAn aptitude for diverse culturesBe physically fitPlease note: all appointments are subject to satisfactory completion of pre-employment checks including, but not limited to, references, police and driver checks, and medical clearance. For driving roles, you will be required to meet the St John medical standards.In return, we will provide relevant training (including First Aid Level 1), a uniform, ongoing support, and St John membership (which gives free ambulance service for immediate family).The best gift anyone can give is 'time'.
