Our people are passionate about innovation and work together to push boundaries, making a difference for future generations.The OpportunityWe are looking for a Health, Safety and Wellbeing Manager! This is a key role for RP as we scale our operations further in NZ and internationally. We need someone who is a passionate and influential advocate for all things HS&W.In this role you will be responsible for setting the direction for health, safety and wellbeing for our organisation, ensuring alignment with our strategic framework and values. Critical to this role is your ability to coach, support, empower and provide expert advice to our people, to enable broader understanding and to develop HS&W responsibilities and requirements. You'll have experience with reporting & continuous improvement and get a kick out of close collaboration with cross functional teams and our people leaders.You will look forward to developing, implementing, and monitoring all HS&W programs at RP, managing risk and ensuring compliance with local and international legislation and regulations. We have a U.S entity and operate in a number of international markets so please note there will be some travel requirements for this position.With Board/Executive and Senior leadership level engagement, this is a senior level leadership role for us. You will champion and advocate our values, actively contribute to a great employee experience as part of the wider People & Culture team and overall help maintain a positive culture for everyone at RP.Skills and ExperienceA relevant tertiary level health and safety qualification(s) or related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience in health and safety management, with a strong preference for experience in robotics, manufacturing, or agriculture.In-depth knowledge of NZ health and safety regulations, with experience managing international health and safety programs across multiple markets. An awareness of U.S.A regulations would be advantageous.Experience leading the design and implementation of organisational wide wellbeing programmes or initiatives.Highly capable communicator with excellent interpersonal skills, totally comfortable with diversity.Conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.An ability to innovate and think outside the box to challenge historical norms in the HS&W space.Strong leadership skills, with the ability to influence and drive a culture of safety across diverse teams.Able to effectively convey complex safety information to all levels of an organization.This is a permanent, full time role reporting to our Chief People Officer. You will spend time at both of RP's sites, currently located in Te Puna and Tauriko (both in Tauranga). In 2025, we will be based at a new HQ solely located in Tauriko, Tauranga.
