About the role This is a newly created role, manage all injury claims, with the purpose of reducing costs, better managing the care of our employees and ensure the very best outcome of each claim. The portfolio will also include: first aid, physio, annual medicals, pre-employment medicals and all similar contracts and suppliers. This role can be located at any of our sites across the country, including Auckland, Havelock or Bluff.
You will Manage the Accredited Employer Program relationship alongside the Systems and Frameworks Business Partner Manage the claims approval process with our Third-Party Insurance Provider Provide comprehensive advice relevant to the Accident Compensation Act 2001 Support managers on matters that may affect workers wellbeing, including grievance resolution and claimants' rights in accordance with the Code of ACC Claimants Rights Provide training and education to the Health Safety and Wellness team and site leadership Manage the return-to-work program with the site leadership Manage the complex claims with the site leaders Manage Third Party Advisor (TPA) to ensure cost efficiency Participate in policy, procedure, and process reviews/development relating to injury management Investigate high severity claims to look for preventative measures What are we looking for? Diploma in Health Services or equivalent5+ years experience in claims management, dealing with complex claims Accredited Employer Program experience Proven facilitation skills with the ability to identify obstacles and secure stakeholder commitment for future initiativesIf you think this is an opportunity that will float your boat, apply today!
