About the role This role is based in our Havelock site in stunning Marlborough. This is a newly created role, and will manage the Aquaculture Health, Safety & Wellbeing team, ensuring consistency, providing support, mentoring and providing oversight across the aquaculture locations. This is an integral role to ensure we deliver the strategic objectives of the Health Safety and Wellbeing team at Sanford.
You will Lead and support the Aquaculture Health, Safety and Wellbeing team to build a cohesive, trusted team Support the Aquaculture Health, Safety and Wellbeing team to complete site inspections and audits Provide reporting to the 'Centre' for assurance audits Lead major event investigation using the ICAM methodology to uncover the root cause (supported by the Group Manager Health, safety and Wellbeing and the Critical Risk and Assurance Lead) Monitor health, safety and wellbeing site improvement plans and provide advice on their achievement Participate with the 'Centre' to develop and drive long term planning and identify opportunities for continuous improvement Promote high levels of Health Safety and Wellbeing engagement at all levels of the organisation Participate in the development, implementation and delivery of the Annual Health Safety and Wellbeing Plan What are we looking for? Tertiary qualification in occupational health and safety or associated field of study NZQA Diploma or equivalent 10+ yrs experience in Health, Safety and Wellbeing Experience in building a strong Health Safety and Wellness safety culture Experience in the Accredited Employer Program audit criteria Proven leadership and people development and managementIn-depth knowledge of the Health and Safety at Work Act (HSWA) 2015 and related regulations.If you think this is an opportunity that will float your boat, apply today!
