Mo tenei turanga mahi | About the role Join the People and Culture team as Health, Safety, Wellbeing and Security Lead, based in our Wellington Office. Reporting to our Manager, People and Culture (P&C) with a dotted line reporting to the DCE as Chief of Security, this permanent role owns and develops the strategy and plans for all health, safety wellbeing and security initiatives across the Commission. You will also be responsible for the successful implementation, monitoring and reporting of these initiatives. The salary band for this role is $124k-$151k. Mohou ake | About you As an experienced Health & Safety/ Security professional, you will have the ability to build strong relationships across the Commission and bring key stakeholders on a health, safety and security improvement journey. He aha tau e mahi ana | About the role You will be supporting key programmes of work to design the safest way to deliver election events for all kaimahi and voters. You will also: Provide specialist expertise and support to enable health, safety, wellbeing and security practices to be embedded in how work is designed and performed. Manage and maintain all health and safety management systems. Lead the return-to-work process and return-to-work reporting for our people. Develop and maintain procedures to monitor and measure service delivery for injury and claims. Driving continual improvement in health, safety and wellbeing. Provide reporting as required to stakeholders. Ko nga mea ka hiahiatia e koe kia angitu | Your background You will need: Relevant tertiary qualification, or equivalent work experience in Health, Safety and Security practice. Experience with practical application of the Health and Safety at Work Act and other relevant legislation and regulations. Ability to build and maintain effective relationships across a wide range of stakeholders.
