The NZ National Fieldays Society has played a leading role in the development of agriculture and New Zealand's economy since its inception in 1968.
The Society owns Fieldays and Mystery Creek Events Centre, a 114-hectare Waikato property that serves as the home of Fieldays, the Society's head office, and one of the nation's most versatile event venues.

About the opportunity Based at Mystery Creek, this role is committed to achieving its goal of zero harm in the workplace and ensuring a safe and healthy environment for employees, volunteers, contractors and visitors.
Monitoring and reporting on the risk environment, you'll be able to identify new and emerging hazards and calculate the risk to the business.
Putting controls in place to eliminate or minimize these risks, you'll drive best practice across the business and will thrive on continual improvement with an engaging approach.
Focus areas will be: Lead the H&S Committee Board reporting Training of staff on correct and safe procedures Documentation of standard operating procedures About You You'll have sound knowledge In HSE legislation with practical experience in promoting an environment where risks are identified and mitigated.
Your outstanding stakeholder management skills ensures you can provide support and suggestion on risk management to our business, including identification of short- and long-term significant risks.
The right attitude to working longer hours outside of your normal scope is fundamental to this role and you will feel excited and passionate about contributing to the operations team at peak times.
Additionally, you will have: Demonstrated understanding of risk management Minimum of three years' experience in a similar role A tertiary qualification in a health and safety and/or HR related field preferred Highly developed written and oral communication skills Excellent interpersonal skills and an approachable manner The ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure If you are interested in joining a fast-paced team where you can help make a positive impact, we would love to hear from you.
