This role offers the chance to be involved in a defining project in the critical communications industry within New Zealand!About the RoleWe have an exciting opportunity for a Health, Safety and Quality Advisor to join the Tait Systems team on a fixed-term basis from now until December 2026, based in our central Auckland office.As a Health, Safety, and Quality Advisor, you will play a crucial role in supporting the HSQE Manager, ensuring contractor safety compliance, and driving quality standards. Your role will encompass both field and desktop responsibilities, with a strong focus on telecommunications environment.You will be instrumental in maintaining safety standards and ensuring build quality across our network rollout. You'll need to be a great team player, an effective communicator, and eager to grow in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.Your key responsibilities will include:Supporting the HSQE Manager in achieving health, safety, quality, and environmental goals.Overseeing contractor safety reporting and auditing to ensure compliance with company policies and New Zealand standards.Conducting onsite and desktop audits for both safety and quality.Fostering a proactive safety culture by engaging with contractors and internal teams.Reviewing and analysing contractor safety documentation and ensuring adherence to safety protocols.Ensuring high standards of after-build quality through inspections and process improvements.Providing input and assistance in the development of health, safety, and quality frameworks.Building strong relationships with contractors and internal stakeholders, acting as a key liaison for safety and quality matters.Preparing accurate and timely reports for management review.About YouWe're looking for a professional, highly organized individual with the following skills:Telecommunications Experience: Understanding of mobile or LMR networks and build quality is highly desirable.Health & Safety Expertise: Proven experience in health and safety compliance and auditing, preferably in the construction or telecommunications sector.Quality Focus: Strong attention to detail in inspecting and maintaining build quality standards.Team Player: Collaborative approach with a willingness to help others and contribute to the wider team's success.Fast Learner: Adaptability and eagerness to learn in a dynamic environment.Organized and Proactive: Excellent organizational skills, ability to manage multiple priorities, and self-motivation.Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills for engaging with contractors and team members.In addition to the above, we're looking for a proactive individual, able to take ownership of problems and develop solutions.
