This full-time position is responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining robust health and safety practices to create a safe and compliant working environment.What you'll be doingDevelop, implement and regularly review health and safety policies, procedures and systems to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and industry best practicesConduct risk assessments and implement effective control measures to mitigate identified risksDeliver targeted health and safety training to employees and monitor their understanding and competencyInvestigate incidents and near-misses, identify root causes and implement corrective actionsCollaborate with managers and employees to foster a positive health and safety cultureMaintain detailed health and safety records and prepare reports for senior managementStay abreast of changes in health and safety legislation and best practices, and implement necessary updatesWhat we're looking forTertiary qualification in Occupational Health and Safety or a related fieldMinimum 5 years' experience in a health and safety management role, preferably in a similar industryExcellent knowledge of health and safety legislation, regulations and best practicesStrong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and mitigate risksEffective communication and training skills to engage employees at all levelsAbility to work independently and as part of a team to drive continuous improvementProficient in using health and safety management software and data analysis toolsWhat we offerThe role offers the opportunity to have true ownership of the health & safety strategy & tactics for the Bartley Group.
