FMNZ is looking for a dedicated and experienced Health & Safety Manager to join the team and take charge of our safety programs across all FMNZ locations. This role has a part-time Health & Safety Coordinator reporting to it.Key Responsibilities:Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive health and safety programs to ensure compliance with all regulations and standards.Manage FMNZ's Health and Safety Management System, ensuring it aligns with both company and regulatory requirements.Implement and maintain an electronic Health & Safety System (Assura) to streamline reporting and compliance tracking.Perform detailed risk assessments and hazard analysis of all forestry operations, including logging, transportation, and harvesting activities.Design and deliver comprehensive health and safety training programs for all employees, including refresher courses, to ensure ongoing compliance and awareness.Lead investigations into incidents and accidents, identifying root causes and contributing factors.About You:Proven experience in Health & Safety management, ideally within the forestry or related sector.Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Forestry, or a related field.Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations, risk assessment methodologies, and safety management systems.Excellent communication and leadership skills.Ability to develop and deliver effective training programs.Experience with electronic Health & Safety Systems (such as Assura) is an advantage.On Offer:If you are a proactive and experienced Health & Safety professional looking for an exciting opportunity within the forestry industry, we would love to hear from you!
