Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Specialist NZ Operations Auckland Full-time New Zealand
Job DescriptionJDE is looking for a fixed term Health, Safety & Environment Specialist, or HSE Advisor, to provide professional and structured safety and environment advice to the team across our sites in New Zealand. You would be responsible for our production facility in East Tamaki, where Hummingbird, JED's, Bell Tea, Ti Ora and Gravity are produced. You'll also be responsible for HSE for our offices in Auckland and Christchurch as well as for our field Sales teams. This role is critical in driving strong health and safety culture across our teams, leading key initiatives, and driving continuous improvements across health, safety and environment. You'll be a member of the Leadership Team of our production facility and report to the ANZ Operations Director. You'll be based at East Tamaki Road and make weekly visits to our headquarters in Highbrook, Auckland. This is a 6-month fixed term opportunity.

In this role, you will:
Deliver the HSE strategy and the annual HSE plan, guiding the overall safety culture of our operationsSupport, coach and mentor Safety Representatives, line managers, HR team members and key stakeholder on safety topicsEnsure that the Health & Safety Management System (HSMS) is kept up to dateProvide consistent and clear communications to various stakeholders throughout the organization, including but not limited to formal presentations and management updates Support in attaining and maintaining relevant Health & Safety (Totika) and environmental (ISO14001) certificationsQualificationsIf you have the courage and confidence to venture into new cultures & territories, and you're brimming with an entrepreneurial spirit and a drive to succeed, you'll fit right in at JDE. For our HSE Specialist, we're looking for someone who has the following skills and experience:
Valid NZ unrestricted Work Visa7+ years' experience as the HSE expert within a medium – large organisationA qualification in Health, Safety & Environment is preferredExperience working with ISO14001 and ISO22001 standardsProven experience driving change and improvement initiativesStrong interpersonal communication, and presentation skills (verbal and written) and the ability to communicate with stakeholders across the breadth of our NZ Operations and within our global teamsStrong ability to influence without direct authority and coach business partners in this skillAbility to work under pressure with a high level of integrity and confidentiality and adapt to a changing environmentPragmatic thinker with a continuous improvement mindsetHighly collaborative and co-operative when working as a team, whilst also having strong initiative andYou're open to participating in global HSE calls during evening hours (approx. 1x per fortnight)Proficient in the Office Suite (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)Additional InformationWhat's in it for you?
