About the role: The primary purpose of this role is to ensure day-to-day Health and Safety compliance across the site, leveraging external consultant expertise and in-house resources when needed.
As the sole HSE Business Partner, you will provide governance and oversight on all HSE matters, ensuring high standards of safety, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement. You will work closely with leadership and teams to enforce HSE policies and foster a culture of safety.
This is a permanent, full-time position with typical working hours from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday. There is some flexibility with start and finish times to accommodate individual preferences.
About you: You are an experienced Health and Safety professional with a strong understanding of the unique challenges within a pharmaceutical business. With a proactive, solutions-oriented approach, you excel in driving change and delivering measurable results. You will possess excellent relationship-building, communication, and reporting skills.
Naturally energetic and driven, you will have a keen focus on quality and attention to detail, essential in meeting the stringent pharmaceutical regulations we adhere to.
Your background, experience and attributes will include: Minimum of 4 years of professional experience related to HS&E.Demonstrated knowledge of health and safety legislation, WorkSafe policies and ACC procedures.Hazardous Substance legislative knowledge would be an advantage.Prior experience in a practical working environment e.g., manufacturing, construction, forestry etc.Strong investigation and problem-solving capabilities.Experience implementing ISO 45001 and / or 14001.Demonstrated ability to influence without authority and operate in a highly matrixed environment.Experience in the development and implementation of various HSE initiatives.Experience with cultural change and driving awareness.Well-developed report writing and editing skills including the use of relevant MS Office software.Excellent relationship management and communication skills [written and verbal].Why Join Us?
