We are looking for a dynamic, highly organised person with experience in Health & Safety & Quality programmes to work in our Retirement Village. This role works alongside the Senior Management team and requires someone who will be our Champion for these vital areas. You will be a people person, a great relationship builder with the ability to influence and guide others.
Your administrative skills and attention to detail will be what makes you shine in this role.
Key skills we are looking for are:
Experience in Health & Safety/related qualification
Excellent communication skills – both written and oral
Advanced user of Microsoft Office 365
The ability to work autonomously
A genuine attitude to collaboration and teamwork
Experience in the aged care or health sector is desirable but not essential

Director Kerikeri Retirement Village Limited is seeking an experienced Director to join our board of seven directors. The organisation is a charitable company owned by two shareholders; Kerikeri Community Village Trust and Presbyterian Support Northern.
We operate a 68-bed care facility across 3 levels of care and have 120 independent living units in our retirement village. We currently own approximately 14 acres in the centre of Kerikeri, after being established in the 1980s. We are one of the larger businesses in Kerikeri, with a staff of 140, approximately 200 residents and a balance sheet with assets of $85m. We have plans to re-build and grow over the next 10 years to meet the demands of our market.
The board meets in person bi-monthly, plus the AGM. Our meetings are held during the week and are approximately 4.5 hours long. There are other expected commitments to fulfil in between meetings for project and committee work.
Appointments are for three years with a maximum possible of 3x3 year terms. This appointment will be a casual vacancy until the AGM in November ratifies the appointment.
With this appointment we are specifically looking for someone who can bring clinical skills to our board. The expectation is for this person to chair our Clinical & Quality Committee to ensure our Aged Care Facility is meeting the required standards of care & best clinical practice.
We are seeking a person with the following skills/experience to fulfil our skills matrix:
1. An experienced Director who demonstrates best practice principles
2. Demonstrated alignment with our values and the ability to challenge and bring independent thought leadership
3. Relevant clinical experience (Registered Nurse/GP/Allied Health)
4. Experience in the health arena, familiarity with issues pertaining to social and health services
5. An affinity with aged care/people who are older
6. Positive stakeholder engagement with well-developed networks in the Far North
7. Connection with government strategies related to the health and aged care arena
8. A Te Ao Maori perspective with strong connections to mana whenua and iwi within our rohe
