About the role This role is an integral part of the HSE team at Aliaxis NZ, reporting to the National HSE Manager. You will make a strong contribution to the business by supporting the continual improvement of our Health, Safety and Environmental culture year on year.

Core responsibilities include: Implement the organisation's health, safety, and environmental framework, plans and policies. Oversee, and on occasion, deliver the provision of HSE education and training to employees. Support the Aliaxis HSE audit programs and the incident and investigation reporting programs. Assess organisational risk and support the implementation of projects accordingly. Ensure employee health & wellbeing activity programs are executed in a timely manner, such as health monitoring and flu jabs. Track H&S spending by site. Apply continuous improvement principles to drive Best Practice results. Support HSE Project delivery across Aliaxis NZ. Meet both internal and external audit requirements. This role is primarily based at Dynex, Avondale, Auckland; however, at least one day per week, the incumbent will travel to our Rx Plastics site in Horotiu, Hamilton. Other time will be spent planning and facilitating Aliaxis NZ-wide HSE projects to deliver a consistent outcome across the Group.

About you Positive, proactive, can-do attitude. Relevant Degree or formal H&S qualification (i.e. NEBOSH Diploma, DipOSH or equivalent). Minimum five or more years' experience in a H&S (and/or environmental) position in a manufacturing or similar environment. Proven experience in influencing site personnel to take personal ownership of H&S. A working knowledge of the Health and Safety at Work Act. Experience and knowledge in influencing behaviour. A working knowledge of ISO 14001. Experience working with safety guarding and safety device improvements in manufacturing. Relevant experience or certification in train-the-trainer is desirable.
