Productive People – Greymouth, South Island Our client, T Croft Ltd, is seeking a proactive and experienced Workplace Health and Safety Advisor. T Croft Ltd is a long-established, successful West Coast business, known for its excellence in the transport and logistics industry. This role is essential for maintaining a high standard of health and safety across the business and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. Reporting to the Managing Director and Operations Manager, the Health and Safety Advisor will provide specialist health and safety guidance to both management and employees. The role will focus on compliance, incident investigation, risk management, and fostering a culture of safety first. A competitive remuneration package is on offer, and the opportunity provides flexibility for the ideal candidate. As a part-time position, work days can be negotiated to suit the right applicant. Key Responsibilities: Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, policies, and ACC requirements. Lead audits, develop WHS systems, and provide safety training. Incident Management & Investigation: Lead investigations for incidents, report findings to senior management, and recommend disciplinary actions or training where necessary. Risk Assessments: Conduct thorough risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to manage workplace hazards. Reporting: Ensure timely and accurate reporting of all incidents, near misses, and safety audits to relevant regulatory bodies and senior management. Staff Training: Organize and deliver health and safety training programs to ensure all employees understand and comply with workplace safety requirements. This position suits an individual with strong leadership skills who can positively influence the health and safety culture within the business. To be successful in this role, you will have: Qualifications: Certificate IV in Occupational Health and Safety (OHS), with a Diploma being highly advantageous OR / AND Experience: Proven experience in a WHS advisory or management role. Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, risk management, and incident investigation. Excellent communication skills and the ability to train and influence others.
