Manawa Energy is offering a unique opportunity as Senior Health and Safety Advisor to support our Capital Projects around the country, based here in sunny Tauranga.
Manawa Energy is stepping up to the challenge of a greener future by focusing our business on delivering more renewable electricity to meet tomorrow's energy needs.
About the role We are looking for a Health and Safety Advisor for a 6 month fixed term contract, with proven experience working with Improvement Projects to support the planning, coordination and implementation of the Manawa Energy Health & Safety Strategy.
The role will sit within the existing Health and Safety Team and support the organisation to ensure that safe work is planned and resourced appropriately.
An understanding and desire to implement a contemporary safety approach will be crucial for this role, as will the ability to engage and work across a broad spectrum of stakeholders positively and constructively.
The Health and Safety Advisor will deliver this by: Support the reshaping of Manawa Energy's approach to Health & Safety and supporting Manawa's transition to a proactive, adaptive framework.
Coordinating system reviews and improvement projects.
Through positive and proactive clear communications, respond to emerging issues and offer solutions for consideration of work groups.
Engaging with key stakeholders to ensure that safe work is enabled and not constrained.
Our ideal candidate will have: A relevant Health and Safety qualification (or operational experience) Process Improvement experience would be an advantage A good understanding of Safety 2.0 and Learning Teams An excellent team player with a positive attitude We know some candidates can be reluctant to apply for roles if they feel they don't 'tick all the boxes'.
