About the Role:Join the Te Ara Rau Access & Choice team to provide brief psychological interventions and hauora support in the MidCentral region. As a Health Improvement Practitioner, you will:
Deliver evidence-based psychological interventions (e.g., CBT, MI, ACT).Promote self-management skills and coordinate mental health and addiction responses.Monitor physical and mental health needs.Facilitate access to care packages and self-management resources.Collaborate with General Practice Teams.Key Qualifications:Agile and flexible mindset.Minimum two years' experience in mental health settings.Registered health professional with a current practising certificate.Awareness of clinical risk and has problem-solving skills.Cultural competence and effective communication skills.Basic understanding of primary care and general practice teams.Commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi.Willingness to provide education and training.Join Us:Work alongside a diverse team passionate about delivering primary health care and making a positive impact on community wellbeing.
