Pinnacle Incorporated – Taupo, North IslandTe whiwhinga mahi: Are you looking for the opportunity of a lifetime to be innovative for whanau, and really make a difference?We're looking for our next champion who identifies with our values to join us!We have full-time or part-time opportunities with flexibility in hours for registered health professionals, which may include registered nurses, social workers, occupational therapists, counsellors, psychotherapists, or psychologists, who want to be part of an innovative team providing holistic primary health and wellbeing support.Health Improvement Practitioners (HIPs) work as members of primary care teams, to provide focused brief interventions for tangata experiencing mental and physical health and wellbeing challenges. We also support community and rural, marae-based clinics to provide improved hauora support, more choices, and improved access to health services for tangata whenua.As a HIP, you will:Receive foundation training in an integrated primary care model.Work as a generalist, seeing anyone of any age whose thoughts, feelings or behaviours are impacting on their health and wellbeing.Participate in regular peer support sessions with others working in this role.Work with the primary care team to build capability.This dynamic role reports to the local HIP Lead and links into the broader extended care team.Minimum Requirements:You are a registered health professional, with a current practising certificate.Experience in therapeutic approaches, which may include kaupapa Maori approaches, ACT, fACT, or CBT.Are committed to applying the principles of the Te Tiriti o Waitangi to improve health outcomes for all.Flexibly able to adapt your approach to use language, models of health, and practices to ensure cultural responsiveness.A desire to train or work in roopu (group) facilitation.Have strong technology skills and computer literacy.Enjoy a responsive, fast-paced team environment.Are committed to continuous improvement.Shared values of:Whakawhanaungatanga (connection) - through relationships we develop understanding.Akoranga (learning) - We invest heavily in the continued learning and growth of our tangata (people).Mahi tahi (collaboration and partnership) – we passionately pursue our purpose of making it easier for people to stay healthy and achieve equitable health outcomes for all.Kawa whakaruruhau (cultural responsiveness) - we strive to uphold Te Tiriti o Waitangi and recognise the richness of our diverse workforce.Kaitiakitanga (stewardship) - We exist to make it easier for people to stay healthy, and you can see this in the work we do to simplify access to primary healthcare and address equity barriers.Hauora (health & wellbeing) - through flexible working, the offer of medical insurance, EAP services, and free flu vaccinations.We've created an awesome working environment full of experienced and engaged people.Pinnacle has made an explicit commitment to Maori and our communities to improve equity of health and wellbeing, in accordance with Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
