Health Improvement Practitioner - The Doctors Ti Rakau
The Health Improvement Practitioner provides accessible, evidence-based therapies to individuals and whanau. From within the GP clinic, you will help enrolled patients with issues affecting their mental health and wellbeing.
The key purpose of the role is to increase access to wellbeing and behavioural health intervention services in general practice. The Health Improvement Practitioner (HIP) also supports development of general practice teams in providing consultations and advice to its members.
In this role, you will provide consultation, education, and advice to the General Practice team by identifying unmet needs of our patients and whanau.

This is a permanent part-time position working 28 hours per week across Monday to Friday.
Do you have what we are looking for?
Registered health professional
Current Annual Practicing Certificate with regulatory authorities within Health Practitioner Competence and Assurance Act, DAPAANZ or the Social Work Registration Authority
Clinical experience in mental health setting (primary and/or secondary) providing evidence-based psychological and behavioural interventions
An understanding of the Treaty of Waitangi
Confident, friendly and approachable
A team-player with the ability to create relationships with multiple stakeholders
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
