Who are we?
Tamaki Health's "Wellness Support Team" (WST) was established in 2012 and is led by pioneering primary mental health psychiatrist Dr David Codyre. Our team won the best mental health programme award at the 2021 New Zealand Primary Healthcare Awards. We provide holistic support to people (all ages) and whanau with psychosocial, mental, physical and well-being needs.

The Role:
The role will include building and maintaining relationships with the cluster clinics to support and promote well-being in routine GP care and provide the clinic populations with Health Coaching on an as-needed basis.
You will be working alongside a Health Improvement Practitioner (HIP) and within a wider team of HIPs and Health Coaches. Successful applicants will receive the required training including ongoing supervision and mentoring.
You will have:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Experience working across multiple sites preferred.
Virtual/Call Centre experience preferred.
Cultural and linguistic diversity.
Basic computer skills and aptitude/enthusiasm for learning new computer systems.
An interest in improving well-being using skills and coaching practices.
At least a secondary school qualification.
Ability to adhere to evidence-based models.
Experience working with a supportive multi-disciplinary team.
Connection to GPs, nurses, psychologists, therapists, and health improvement practitioners.
Provision of supervision and mentoring support with a clinician and/or peers with professional development opportunities.
Ability to be innovative and contribute to the development and growth of the service.
Opportunities to be trained in new models of engagement and brief interventions and become a trainer based on competencies.
