Support Worker Men's Residential Service32 hours per weekFor over 35 years, Odyssey House Christchurch has had a mission to improve the wellbeing of individuals, family and community affected by drug and alcohol addiction, mental health and related issuesAt our male residential service in Burnside, we are supporting men in their alcohol and drug treatment and recovery with a particular focus on community.In this role, you will:• Take part in community activities including meal preparation and recreation activities• Facilitate groups as scheduled• Work along side our residents in their day to day activities• Manage administration processes for medications, handovers and resident requests
To be successful in this role, you will• Be a qualified Support Worker or working towards a Level 4 qualification• Experience working with clients in the mental health or addiction sector• Have excellent organisation skills, being able to respond to proactive and reactive requirements of the residents• Be competent with computers and databases• Show good interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with residents, family/whanau, colleagues, and other health providers.• Full drivers licence required.• Have the ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.This role will be 4 x 8 hour shifts per week and include one weekend day.To apply email ******

Odyssey House is an established NGO working with people around mental health, addictions and wellbeing. We work within the Te Tumu Waiora collaboration, putting mental health and wellbeing at the heart of general practicewith Health Coach roles.
This Health Coach role aims to connect directly with patients and assist them in making any necessary changes to improve their health and wellbeing and work towards an achievable healthcare plan. The role involves being an integral part of the general practice team, working directly with whaiora and their whanau to help improve their physical and mental health and wellbeing.
Role is based in Amberley, North Canterbury. Days to be determined
Successful applicants will receive comprehensive training and ongoing mentoring.
