Mo te turanga - About the role The role is part-time covering PM shifts at our Woburn Rest Home. As a Health Care Assistant, you will be responsible for providing care and support to our residents in our Rest Home by following Enliven's Eden Principles to deliver a safe, secure, and supportive environment in which we encourage our residents to maintain their independence and to make decisions for themselves. Your key responsibilities will be:
Deliver the highest standard of personal care to every ResidentSupport elders to have autonomy by doing as much as possible for themselves in a way each elder chooses.Assist and support the daily activities in a way that meets the Eden principles and the Domains of WellbeingTake instruction and delegation under the direction of the Registered Nurse.Provide assistance when an emergency occurs or additional support is required by the teamEnsure resident's needs are attended to effectively and in a timely mannerAs well as a passion for the wellbeing of older people, you will be enthusiastic but patient and well-organized with great interpersonal skills and a sense of humor. You will share our values of empathy, compassion, and respect. Ideally, you will already have some experience in aged care, but if not, we can help with that; having the right attitude and willingness to learn is just as important. In addition, you will have:
Ability to communicate with and respect the diversity of each individual living and working in our HomeMinimum of Careerforce Level 2 Health and Wellbeing Certificate or preparedness to gain oneGood written and documentation skillsBasic computer skillsWhat's in it for me?
