Applications are sought for a health care assistant to work in OPAL.We are looking for a permanent, part-time (0.8FTE) Health Care Assistant to join our team.In OPAL, our values are simple: to put our patients first by working as one team, leading and listening, and striving for the best.

It is part of the MidCentral Healthy Ageing and Rehabilitation (HAR) Cluster based in Palmerston North and has links to the Community Elder Health Team.Essential Requirements:The ability to adapt easily in a changing environmentThe ability to be flexible and prioritiseThe ability to work effectively within a teamExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsA high degree of physical capacityExcellent time management and organisational skillsSensitivity to cultural and ethnic differencesAbility to maintain strict confidentialitySuccessful completion of a Care Givers or related course.There is an expectation for the successful candidates to complete a study programme which includes self-directed workbooks.
Any comparable course already undertaken by the successful candidate will be taken into account.
