Job Title: Care Professional (Health Care Assistant)

Location: Colchester & Tendring

Contract: Full-Time, Part-Time, Flexible

Shifts: 07:00 - 15:00 or 16:00 - 23:00

Salary: £12.00 per hour weekdays, £12.50 per hour weekends, mileage paid @ 45 pence per mile.

The important bits for you!

UK Driving License & own vehicle required.

£12.00 per hour (weekdays).

£12.50 per hour at weekends.

Paid travel time & paid mileage (45p per mile).

Enhanced rate of pay at bank holidays.

Comprehensive induction & training package, paid for at usual hourly rate.

Hours include earlies, evenings, and alternate weekends (or weekends only if you prefer).

Paid DBS.

Job Description

To provide the highest standard of care and support to our clients and to enhance their wellbeing and promote independence.

Care duties for each individual client will be clearly stated in their Care Plan and may vary depending on the client's needs, time of day of the visit etc.

Occasionally other care duties may arise that aren't included below and you will need to be able to adapt easily to take on these different duties if asked.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Meeting the personal care needs of our clients in a way that respects their dignity and promotes independence.

Assisting clients with getting in and out of bed, dressing, undressing, washing, bathing, and using the toilet.

Supporting clients with mobility problems and other physical disabilities, including incontinence.

Providing care for clients who are temporarily sick and may need assistance with minor dressings, bed nursing, help with feeding, toileting etc.

Helping care for clients who are dying.

Promoting mental and physical well-being of our clients through conversation, outings, and activities.

Undertaking light household tasks such as making and changing beds, tidying rooms, and light cleaning.

Assisting with washing clothes and ironing if requested.

Preparing and serving meals; assisting clients with eating and drinking; washing up and tidying the kitchen.

Greeting visitors and answering the telephone as needed whilst at the client's home.

Reading and writing care reports, providing accurate and detailed information.

Maintaining the highest standards of hygiene at all times and using personal protective equipment provided.

Complying with Radfield Home Care's guidelines and policies.

Reporting significant changes in the health or circumstances of a client to the office.

Encouraging clients to remain as independent as possible.

Reporting any events or situations that may pose a risk to clients, their relatives, or staff members.

Attending staff and client meetings as requested.

Attending training courses and completing e-learning courses as requested.

Helping to promote Radfield Home Care with marketing activities.

Promoting a positive personal/professional profile within the local community.

Coming into the office at least once a week to collect and bring in client paperwork and to collect your rota and client information.

Performing other duties as may reasonably be required.
